Campbell and Boodle Win Cooper River Winter Open #6

John Campbell and Robert Boodle came out on top at the Cooper River Bassmasters Winter Open #6 on Saturday. The team landed 22.46 pounds for the win.

According to John, “TreeShaker Tackle spinnerbaits and bladed jigs produced a lot of the bites today for sure, but the bulk of them fell victim to crankbaits from Backyard Tackle.”

For his part, Robert was tossing a Strike King spinnerbait, which you can get for yourself here and a Strike King squarebill like this one.

John also said you’ll be able to buy those TreeShaker spinnerbaits at Palmetto Outdoorsman soon, but until then here’s a link to their website. You can check them out at http://www.palmettooutdoorsman.com/.

This event drew 29 boats and paid out 5 places, so the final tournament in this series is looking to be a doozy. It’s going to be going out of Blacks Fish Camp on Feb. 24, from safe light until 3pm. The $100 entry includes big fish.
